For Grown Ups
Moody Me

A six week non-traditional art and writing class, that invites people to explore, identify and embrace their unique creative selves, artistically, with style and a whole lot of fun! Elizabeth encourages people to tap into their emotional selves beginning first with deep breathing exercises to clear “the noise of the day” and then “non- thinking” writing exercises which she finds always uncovers the truth of the moment! From there, she will help you illustrate your thoughts and ideas so that in the end, you will be on your way to creating a visual, poetic and honest story, the story of you! Limit 10 students. Morning class held in 8E and evening class held in 5W.

Praise for The Melancholy Girls: "I love the art work--it's so simple, almost primitive and childlike, but also so gloomily evocative. I also found the writing to be totally engaging as well--unpredictable, insightful, direct. It's also, most impressively, extremely honest." Eric Wilson, Author, Against Happiness: In Praise of Melancholy. Elizabeth's also featured in the September 2008 Issue of AUSTIN WOMAN MAGAZINE (p. 18 & 19).
